The World Outside
1990. With M. Hadighi.

The directional duct-like construction of a heavily mediated sound and image environment is inserted into the window of the gallery to provide a conceptual link to a defunct concrete manufacturing plant several miles away, and more immediately, to the winter weather of the world outside. The videos also record the many required illegal incursions into the factory, along with the countless warning signs originally intended for the safety of the workers. The installation was itself deemed unsafe, and augmented by the ubiquitous yellow DANGER tape.
